Founded Ursula Rigby Architect in 1991.
Partnered with Fred Spencer and practiced as Spencer Rigby Architects from 1994 to 2003.
2003 to present – Ursula Rigby Architect.

Personal involvement in all aspects of more than 200 Architectural projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Mauritius. Areas of specialisation include conceptualising, developing and detailing as well as project facilitating for:

  • Heritage Applications
  • New building design
  • Remodelling existing commercial, retail and residential properties
  • Historic building restoration
  • Private safari and bush lodge developments (out of the ground and extending existing structures)
  • Property revamping, refurbishing, maintenance and simply restyling.
Early Career- 1985 to 1991

Involvement in various high profile residential developments, retail and commercial developments including full architectural documentation and project management on restoration work and additions to a 300 year old wine estate – Morgenster Manor House – Mr P Bairnsfather-Cloete, Somerset West.

Williams Louw and Pearce, Cape Town
Full architectural involvement – Oppenheimer Housing, (University Residence)University of Cape Town.

David Morrison Associates, St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
Full architectural and project management on a variety of projects in various locations in the Caribbean, including luxury single family and multi-unit residential, leisure resorts, retail and entertainment developments.
